Tipping is not customary but doing so is a nice gesture and will make your trip more enjoyable. When giving a tip, do so quietly and discreetly.

Transportation Taxi drivers aren't accustomed to tips but letting them keep the change or rounding up to 10 percent is the norm.
Hotels Give porters Rp 50 per bag.
Tip housekeepers Rp 250.
Restaurants, Bars, Cafés Tip 15 percent to the waiter or waitress.
Guides Tip guides Rp 50 to Rp 100 a day. They usually expect lunch money which is around Rp 40.
